The Indianapolis Motor Speedway provides a variety of transportation alternatives for your Race Day travel. See below for information regarding shuttle services, rideshare, taxi and bicycle routes to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

Race Day Shuttle Service

Ride with the official shuttle services to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway on Race Day. This service provided for the Indianapolis 500 and Brickyard 400 Race Days provide round-trip shuttles to IMS from two Indianapolis parking locations.

Rideshare (Lyft, Uber, etc.)

For those a rideshare service to and from the track, drop off and pick up locations will be south of IMS at the corner of Main St. & Gilman St. and north of IMS at the corner of 25th St. and Georgetown Rd.


Taxis will arrive / return from the track, pick up will be located at the corner of Polco St. and 10th St. taxi stands are also located outside of the following downtown hotels:

Bike to the 500

Pedal past the crowds on a police escorted route to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Join us at the Indianapolis City Market on Indy 500 Race Day and Bike to the 500!

The fun starts at 7:00 a.m. on the east plaza of the City Market. Prep for your four mile bicycle ride with music, food, drinks and family fun! The party leaves downtown at 9:30 a.m. Ride with several hundred others from downtown to the grounds of Daredevil Brewing Company where your bicycle will be parked and monitored while you enjoy "The Greatest Spectacle in Racing."
