Suites v. Hospitality

IMS defines Suites as a hospitality space with a view of the track from inside the space (Gasoline Alley, Hulman Terrace, Pagoda, Tower Terrace, Turn 2 Suites). Hospitality is defined as a private space without a view of the track from inside of the space (Flag Rooms, Legends Row, Pagoda Plaza).

When can I access premium spaces?

Suite and Hospitality spaces will open when gates open and will close 1 hour after gates close or 1-hour post-checkered flag. (Worker tickets will provide gate entry one hour prior to public gates opening).

Can I use the IMS or Event Logo(s) on promotional items or invitations?

The use of logos or marks always requires prior approval and are subject to the terms of your agreement. Please contact your Premium Sales or Client Services Representative to discuss.

Can I leave my suite tickets at the Client Services office or Administration Front Desk for pickup?

Suite or hospitality ticket inventory should be distributed to your guests in advance and/or offsite before their arrival. Will Call options are available via the IMS Ticket Office at 317-492-6700.

Where do I park?

All premium spaces are given an allotment of parking that is distributed via the suiteholder or hospitality client. For additional parking information, please visit ims.com/parking for all paid or complimentary parking options each day.

Can I tailgate in premium parking lots?

No. If guests parked in premium lots (N Lot, Pagoda, Tower) wish to tailgate, they will have the option to relocate to the Wedge or Woods lots.

Which gate do I use to access premium spaces?

Suite or hospitality tickets will allow you to enter through any public gate that is operational on a day we are open to the public. There are numerous gates around the facility.

Do children need a ticket to enter premium spaces?

Yes, every individual will need a ticket to access all premium spaces. This policy applies even if the child can receive free gate admission. Handheld infants will not be checked for tickets at the checkpoint to the premium spaces, however guests are encouraged to check with their suite or hospitality host for admission policies to their respective location. Toddlers and small children (not handheld) will require a ticket to access all premium spaces.

How do I watch track activity?

All Suite locations have a view of the track from inside of the space and reserved outdoor seating. All Hospitality spaces do not have a view of the track but are paired with reserved grandstand seats on race days; on non-race days Hospitality guests may watch track activity from any open grandstand.

What is the required attire for Suites, Hospitality spaces, Pits and Garages?

Shirts, bottoms, and shoes are required for admission to all premium spaces. Admittance will be denied if clothing is considered offensive, disruptive, or unsuitable for any reason. All decisions from management are final. IMS prefers, but does not require, close-toed shoes and long pants.

How can I access the pits or garage areas? (Answers differ for the Month of May events and NASCAR/INDYCAR Tripleheader events.)

All suite customers will receive an allotment of restricted access options. The suiteholder will administer for Indianapolis 500 event Pit & Garage passes and NASCAR/INDYCAR Tripleheader event Pre-Race Pit passes at their discretion. Month of May hospitality clients will receive garage-only credentials and NASCAR Race Weekend hospitality clients will receive pit passes, for their event day. Credentials are distributed equal to the number of tickets ordered. These credentials are not valid on Indy 500 Race Day.

All guests using these credentials must be over the age of 18, provide government issued ID and will be required to sign a release prior to using the credential.

Junior Garage Passes are available for purchase at either Credential office location during the Month of May. A parent or legal guardian MUST be present with the minor to sign the release for this credential.

Are coolers allowed in premium spaces?

While coolers are allowed in the facility, coolers will not be allowed in any suite or hospitality spaces.

How do I order food or beverage?

Food may be ordered through any of our approved caterers and all beverage must be ordered through Levy Restaurants. No outside food or beverage or coolers are allowed in premium spaces. An initial food and beverage order should be placed per each caterer’s guidelines prior to your event. Phone numbers for day of and on-site requests or concerns will be provided in your suite or hospitality space.
